[ET Net News Agency, 28 June 2024] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$47.79
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$7.28 billion, or 15.23% of the market's
turnover. There were 614 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and TENCENT (00700)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.5 billion and HK$306.36 million, or
20.58% and 4.21% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
56.58% and 11.94% of respective stock's turnover.
MEITUAN-W (03690) and BABA-SW (09988) registered HK$240.53 million and HK$190.33 million
of short sales, accounting for 3.3% and 2.61% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 18.25% and 17.33% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.08, or 0.44%, to HK$18.21. TENCENT ended down HK$0.4, or
0.11%, to HK$374. MEITUAN-W fell HK$1.6, or 1.41% to HK$112.1. BABA-SW declined by
HK$0.55, or 0.77%, to HK$71.
