HK$505.84 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$62.08 billion, or 12.27% of the
market's turnover. There were 690 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and CSOP HS
TECH (03033) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$8.87 billion and HK$5.04
billion, or 14.28% and 8.12% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 24.55% and 43.26% of respective stock's turnover.
BABA-W (09988) and PING AN (02318) registered HK$4.11 billion and HK$2.12 billion of
short sales, accounting for 6.63% and 3.42% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 14.98% and 16.78% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.48, or 2.25%, to HK$21.82. CSOP HS TECH ended up HK$0.292,
or 6.65%, to HK$4.684. BABA-W rose HK$7.5, or 7.32% to HK$110. PING AN jumped HK$1.55, or
3.19%, to HK$50.15.
