[ET Net News Agency, 6 January 2025] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$121.64 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$19.58 billion, or 16.1% of the
market's turnover. There were 668 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and CSOP HS
TECH (03033) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.03 billion and HK$1.37
billion, or 10.39% and 6.99% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 23.68% and 51.81% of respective stock's turnover.
XIAOMI-W (01810) and TENCENT (00700) registered HK$1.32 billion and HK$939.95 million of
short sales, accounting for 6.76% and 4.8% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 21.95% and 13.6% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.06, or 0.3%, to HK$19.88. CSOP HS TECH ended down
HK$0.008, or 0.19%, to HK$4.31. XIAOMI-W rose HK$0.05, or 0.14% to HK$36.3. TENCENT
declined by HK$4.8, or 1.16%, to HK$409.4.
