[ET Net News Agency, 23 March 2026] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$368.68
billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$83.54 billion, or 22.66% of the market's
turnover. There were 884 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and CSOP HS TECH
(03033) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$20.55 billion and HK$5.77
billion, or 24.6% and 6.9% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 60.16% and 43.76% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF (02828) and BABA-W (09988) registered HK$4.42 billion and HK$2.97 billion of
short sales, accounting for 5.29% and 3.56% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 30.3% and 18.21% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.86, or 3.36%, to HK$24.7. CSOP HS TECH ended down
HK$0.164, or 3.44%, to HK$4.606. HSCEI ETF fell HK$2.7, or 3.08% to HK$85.1. BABA-W
declined by HK$4, or 3.23%, to HK$119.7.
