There were 838 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and TRACKER FUND (02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$4.18 billion and HK$3.73 billion, or 13.81% and 12.33% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented 44.8% and 32.32% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF (02828) and BABA-W (09988) registered HK$2.28 billion and HK$1.77 billion of short sales, accounting for 7.53% and 5.85% of the total short sales values respectively. The transactions represented 42.78% and 21.46% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed up HK$0.132, or 2.91%, to HK$4.666. TRACKER FUND ended up HK$0.56, or 2.24%, to HK$25.54. HSCEI ETF rose HK$2.34, or 2.8% to HK$86.04. BABA-W jumped HK$5.8, or 5.15%, to HK$118.4.
