HK$127.31 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$17.27 billion, or 13.57% of the
market's turnover. There were 658 short-selling stocks. TENCENT (00700) and HSCEI ETF
(02828) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.67 billion and HK$980.93
million, or 9.65% and 5.68% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 18.97% and 19.79% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND (02800) and BABA-W (09988) registered HK$967.36 million and HK$850.53
million of short sales, accounting for 5.6% and 4.92% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 11.42% and 18.2% of respective stock's
turnover.
TENCENT closed down HK$6.2, or 1.45%, to HK$420.2. HSCEI ETF ended up HK$0.78, or 1.07%,
to HK$73.52. TRACKER FUND rose HK$0.13, or 0.65% to HK$20.02. BABA-W jumped HK$0.9, or
1.12%, to HK$81.
