HK$217.22 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$33.99 billion, or 15.65% of the
market's turnover. There were 820 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and BABA-W
(09988) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.44 billion and HK$1.56
billion, or 7.18% and 4.58% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 56.49% and 18.74% of respective stock's turnover.
TENCENT (00700) and XIAOMI-W (01810) registered HK$1.4 billion and HK$1.18 billion of
short sales, accounting for 4.13% and 3.48% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 10.81% and 14.32% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed up HK$0.055, or 1.03%, to HK$5.38. BABA-W ended down HK$0.4, or
0.25%, to HK$160.1. TENCENT fell HK$3, or 0.54% to HK$548. XIAOMI-W jumped HK$1.52, or
4.27%, to HK$37.1.
