[ET Net News Agency, 12 February 2026] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$127.26 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$16.06 billion, or 12.62% of the
market's turnover. There were 783 short-selling stocks. MEITUAN-W (03690) and ZIJIN MINING
(02899) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.15 billion and HK$1.06
billion, or 7.15% and 6.63% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 31.8% and 35.19% of respective stock's turnover.
TENCENT (00700) and XIAOMI-W (01810) registered HK$847.38 million and HK$728.14 million
of short sales, accounting for 5.28% and 4.53% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 6.83% and 25.4% of respective stock's turnover.
MEITUAN-W closed down HK$3.7, or 4.16%, to HK$85.15. ZIJIN MINING ended up HK$0.98, or
2.25%, to HK$44.5. TENCENT fell HK$14.5, or 2.65% to HK$533.5. XIAOMI-W declined by
HK$0.34, or 0.92%, to HK$36.76.
