HK$238.71 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$33.63 billion, or 14.09% of the
market's turnover. There were 818 short-selling stocks. MEITUAN-W (03690) and ZIJIN MINING
(02899) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.88 billion and HK$1.77
billion, or 5.58% and 5.27% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 24.33% and 35.46% of respective stock's turnover.
TENCENT (00700) and XIAOMI-W (01810) registered HK$1.61 billion and HK$1.45 billion of
short sales, accounting for 4.78% and 4.3% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 7.56% and 27.44% of respective stock's turnover.
MEITUAN-W closed down HK$4, or 4.5%, to HK$84.85. ZIJIN MINING ended up HK$1.5, or
3.45%, to HK$45.02. TENCENT fell HK$12.5, or 2.28% to HK$535.5. XIAOMI-W declined by
HK$0.58, or 1.56%, to HK$36.52.
