billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$66.55 billion, or 18.96% of the market's
turnover. There were 824 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and MEITUAN-W (03690)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$9.65 billion and HK$6.52 billion, or
14.5% and 9.8% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
33.17% and 29.68% of respective stock's turnover.
POP MART (09992) and BABA-W (09988) registered HK$4.63 billion and HK$4.13 billion of
short sales, accounting for 6.96% and 6.2% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 18.93% and 21.83% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.3, or 1.18%, to HK$25.66. MEITUAN-W ended up HK$11, or
13.92%, to HK$90. POP MART fell HK$48.9, or 22.51% to HK$168.3. BABA-W jumped HK$5.7, or
4.63%, to HK$128.9.
