billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$21.03 billion, or 14.55% of the market's
turnover. There were 789 short-selling stocks. XIAOMI-W (01810) and BYD COMPANY (01211)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.11 billion and HK$997.67 million, or
5.3% and 4.74% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
41.01% and 41.22% of respective stock's turnover.
TENCENT (00700) and CSOP HS TECH (03033) registered HK$726.13 million and HK$693.34
million of short sales, accounting for 3.45% and 3.3% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 14.97% and 19.45% of respective stock's
turnover.
XIAOMI-W closed up HK$0.1, or 0.31%, to HK$31.86. BYD COMPANY ended down HK$2.9, or
2.74%, to HK$102.9. TENCENT rose HK$12.4, or 2.56% to HK$496.4. CSOP HS TECH jumped
HK$0.068, or 1.49%, to HK$4.618.
