Discover Hung Hsien: Between Worlds, an exhibition that celebrates the pioneering artist who forged a distinctive modern ink language shaped by both Eastern and Western traditions. After moving to the United States in 1958, Hung drew inspiration from Abstract Expressionism and Surrealism while remaining deeply rooted in classical Chinese ink painting. Her works combine lyrical brushwork, abstract forms and bold colour, offering a dynamic fusion of traditional ink techniques with the expressive energy of Western art. This exhibition invites you to explore Hung’s groundbreaking practice and her lasting contribution to modern ink art.
