  • I usually try to come up with facts and arguments when I can. By definition of the words "dogmatic" and "opinionated", I am not regularly one of the flock.

Well quoted on Matthew 7:1-5 Judging Others:
You're hitting two birds with one stone, nay it is more than 2 birds, it should be a flock of birds---"moron readers ,stupid" columnist"---are these not clear-cut examples of dogmatic and opinionated?
You are not only hitting two birds with one stone, you have also hit yourself with the same stone too!
    Surprise, surprise!

  • Well quoted: You're hitting two birds with one stone, the many moron readers at this forum as well as the "stupid" columnist of this column. Surprised to see that Ms. Wat was deliberately avoiding some sensitive & highly controversial political & social topics in her recent articles. Perhaps you're right in saying that she's trying to tidy up her aggressiveness & acuteness for her RTHK radio program.

  • Dogmatic and opinionated?

    Matthew 7:1-5
“Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye

  • Thanks for your appreciation.
Sometimes I think the better response to certain dogmatic and opinionated poster is not to drag into a verbal mud fight, but to mix the response with certain humour with objective evidences---a good old laugh is better than a long-winding empty message which nobody cares to read, let alone to argue about.

    These are excellent comments.

    1. humorous,

    2. convincing argument supported with objective evidences

I consider these were the best responses I've come across for this month !

  • The only real objective paper on earth are the horse-racing betting papers--they give your objective tips on the winner of the race, for they have more columnists than no. of horses in every race, and each columnist's tip is different! Good Luck.

  • WSJ objective? I thought WSJ stands for We Sell Jokes.
The western media is objective? Just flashed back not so long ago to how their "embedded reporting" during the Second Iraq War and you will have your reporters "objective reports" on the invasion troops and cheering with George W Bush's "Mission Accompanished" speech on 1st May, 2003 aboard USS Abraham Lincoln; which turns out to be the biggest joke of the past decade.
    Mission Accomplished speech

"Writing in The Wall Street Journal Lisa Schiffren, a former speechwriter for former vice president Dan Quayle, praised Bush for appearing not only “really hot” but “credible as a commander in chief. But mostly 'hot' as in virile, sexy and powerful.”

If you read western newspapers, a number of them kept on criticizing their own government, notably WSJ and Washington Post which are very critical of Obama administration. They exercise editorial independence and show independent thinking. Particularly, WSJ has the habit of outlining pros and cons on the same page. Readers please check on the Opinion Journal of WSJ.

What Wat commented here is factually incorrect. I do not understand why Wat is such a compulsive liar, has to lie even during Christmas Eve.

If Wat refers to People's Daily or 2016 SCMP, she seems to be telling the truth. They are 都是甘被CCP利用的一群
